2. The legend of Thien Cung Cave
Not only does Thien Cung Cave attract visitors with its stunning natural beauty, but it is also linked to intriguing legends from Vietnamese folklore. According to locals, the cave is the site of the wedding of the Dragon King and the Queen. The legend tells that during a rescue mission, the Dragon King met and fell in love with a beautiful fairy. Their wedding was held in Thien Cung Cave, attended by numerous deities and various creatures.
The stalactites in the cave are said to symbolise the sacred and noble nature of this wedding. The rock formations depict scenes from the wedding: from musicians and dancers to dragons and phoenixes flying around. Entering the cave feels like stepping into a real palace, with natural architectural details so beautifully crafted that they seem almost unbelievable. The Dragon King’s love story adds to the allure and mystery of the cave, attracting thousands of visitors to explore and discover its wonders.
